"I'll tell you in 20 years"

The Glacier Wolfpack Football Program is, without a doubt, the greatest experience I have ever been a part of. This brotherhood is unlike anything else a person can experience in high school. It isn't just about football—it's about becoming part of something much bigger than yourself. Countless hours are spent preparing to be your very best so you're ready to play under the Friday night lights at Legends Stadium. I never missed a workout or team event during my four years because I loved being part of this brotherhood. It never felt like an obligation—it was where I wanted to be. As an 8th grader and freshman, you begin to understand what this program is truly about. Coach Bennett must have said it hundreds of times over those four years: "I couldn't care less about wins and losses. I'd rather worry about the young man you're going to become." Another phrase we heard often was, "How's this year's team going to be? I'll tell you in 20 years."

At first, those statements might seem strange, but they perfectly capture what makes this program so special. Coach Bennett has always seen the bigger picture. His goal was never simply to build a championship football team. His goal was to build young men of character—young men who respect themselves, serve others, and make a positive impact long after the final whistle blows. Winning games was never the ultimate goal. Becoming a better man was.

There was no better way to accomplish that than alongside the 15 seniors who remained from our large freshman class. Fifteen young men who chose to buy into something greater than themselves. Fifteen brothers who trusted one another and trusted their coaches. We believed in the love, accountability, and family that defined this program.

That was the 2016 Glacier Wolfpack Football Team. We weren't simply teammates—we were a true brotherhood.

From the moment we laced up our cleats as inexperienced freshmen until our final game together as seniors, we always had each other's backs. We pushed each other through endless hours of cleans, squats, conditioning, and practices. There were plenty of days when it hurt so much you wondered if you could run another sprint or complete another lift. But then you'd look to the brother on your left and the brother on your right and remember they were counting on you. You found a way because they deserved your best.

Coach Bennett deserves far more recognition than he receives. I'm surprised he isn't named AA Coach of the Year every season—not because of the games he wins, but because of the young men he helps shape. He built our team around one simple philosophy: if we became one united family, the wins would take care of themselves.

The countless hours he invested in Pack Strength lessons, leadership discussions, and character development are what truly won football games. He understood that football is about much more than X's and O's. A great team is built on trust, accountability, sacrifice, and love for one another. Those lessons will stay with me for the rest of my life.

The Glacier Wolfpack Football Program changes you. It teaches you what it means to be a "Man Built for Others." It teaches you that while schemes and talent matter, championships are won because every player trusts the man beside him to do his job. Every snap, I knew I could count on my brothers because we all shared the same commitment—to give everything we had for one another. It's impossible to describe the impact this program has had on my life in just a few paragraphs. The memories made day after day are ones I'll carry forever. Every one of those memories comes back to one word: Brotherhood.

If I could relive one part of my life, I would gladly become a sophomore or junior again just to spend more time in this program. While I'll never play another snap for the Wolfpack, my 15 brothers and I will always be part of this family. We'll cheer for every team that follows us because that's what this program teaches—you never stop being a Wolfpack football player. This family doesn't end when the scoreboard clock reaches zero. Once you're part of Glacier Wolfpack Football, you're part of it forever. Like every family, we've had our ups and downs. We've challenged each other, competed against each other, and sometimes gotten frustrated with each other. But at the end of the day, we've always loved one another, trusted one another, and believed in one another. That is a brotherhood I will never forget.

To every coach who invested in us and every teammate who stood beside me, thank you. Thank you for the lessons, the laughter, the challenges, and the memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life. I will forever be proud to call myself a Glacier Wolfpack football player.
